ABOUT

I am a nationally certified counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the great state of Texas. I earned my Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2012 and my Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford in 2021. I completed clinical internships at Denton Country Friends of the Family and Cancer Care Services in Fort Worth. I am also a proud member of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS).

I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings including psychiatric hospitals, community centers, non-profit outreach, insurance case management and coaching. I have training and specialized interests in working with older adults, adults affected by cancer, and issues impacting women and LGBTQIA+ populations.

Since therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, I take an integrative approach with my methods to meet each individual's unique needs. My clinical approaches to counseling include the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cancer recovery (MBCR) and narrative therapy. I offer virtual counseling sessions to adults living in Texas to improve your access to therapy!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, hiking, photography, baking, and finding new ways to stay creative!
